I contacted Summit Environmental Solutions on behalf of my 95-year-old mother. I discovered that her sump pump was not working in her crawlspace. When Joe showed up from Summit, he was unable to go down there because it was full of water. After days of pumping out the water, he later went down and discovered a lot of debris, potential problems with the foundation, and a very unlevel crawlspace. It was determined that the crawlspace would have to be encapsulated to include installing a moisture barrier, a new sump pump and a dehumidifier. His company workers filled an entire truck with debris from the crawlspace and tons of dirt was brought in from the front driveway to the side of the house through a small gate and to the back. A new entry space was enlarged with an angled door to keep water from pouring down there and another door leading into the crawlspace. Joe was phenomenal to work with. He always answered my calls and questions and helped in any way he could to make the old house safe for my mother again. The Summit employees worked extremely hard to make the crawlspace safe once again. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

Summit has really been our partners when we were in need of help with pest control. They were dependable and effective. We also had our roof done with them and have enjoyed having a free inspection from time to time. This gives us real peace of mind. Would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends and neighbors!

It was a pleasure dealing with Summit Environmental Solutions to solve our leaky basement issue. Joe gave us a fair estimate and was very helpful in all aspects of the job. The crew showed up on time and were very pleasant, polite, and professional. There was one minor issue on the placement of the drain in the yard, but it was resolved amicably. I would definitely recommend this company.

Summit Environmental Solutions were phenomenal with de-watering and encapsulating our new crawlspace that had 6+ inches of standing water in it. Within a day or two of completion, it was evident that the crawlspace was maintaining heat as temps dropped below freezing. Joe Westner and Jeremy were very professional and prompt with returning phone calls and completing the work. I highly recommend Summit. Not only are they price competitive, but they also offer a great warranty.

Project: Repair Damage from Dry-rot, Water or Pests
Comments: Initial fix was shoddy and unacceptable; when carpenter team came they did an excellent job! Communications could be a bit better but I understand they were short staffed in the office. Could not have a more pleasant group to work with though. I intend to use them for other work in the near future.

Pest Control: when I called Summit in a panic from the small snake that was in our home, Jessica helped me to calm down and reviewed all my options and pricing. We decided we wanted to move forward with a survey of our newly purchased home and go from there. She called for a consultant to come by that same day within a few hours. Although I was still quite frantic, Will, walked me through our entire home top to bottom and inside and out to share where the snake was coming from and how we could resolve the issues, both immediately and long term. Regardless of wanting to spend any money during the holidays, we wanted to protect our family and our investment - Will was extremely cordial and went out of his way to make sure we understood all that was being done to protect our home. I am grateful for the experience and will recommend to anyone who will listen! Thank you Jessica and Will!!!

This company was great. They responded quickly to my request for a quote on HomeAdvisor. They came out the very next day and cleaned out a bird's nest from our attic and made repairs for the damage done by the birds. They were also able to put bird guards on two other vents while they were there. The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Very easy to work with and reliable. I recommend this firm.

Dig a trench around the perimeter of the crawlspace interior. Install stone and a fast drain system gravity fed to an existing sump pump basin. Cover the fast drain system with additional stone. Clean out ports will be installed at the corners for proper maintenance. Remove the vapor barrier and debris from the crawlspace. Sterifab the joists to treat for mildew and mold. Install R11 bora foam board on all the walls and block off the vents. Spray foam the rim joists with 2 inches of closed cell spray foam. Insulate the entry door. Install a dimple shield and a 16 mil white vapor barrier on the floor of the crawlspace. Run the vapor barrier up the R11 bora foam board and seam tape to seal. Install a Santa Fe compact in the crawlspace and discharge moisture into the existing sump pump basin. Remove a section of the 1 1/2 inch pipe that discharges the sump pump into the garden and install an ice cop. The new discharge line will be ran sixteen feet under the ground to a drain box flush with the ground.

Right side front bedroom floor is sagging slightly on the right outer edge. Inspection in the crawlspace revealed sagging support at outer perimeter of foundation. Install footer and support column in mid span of carrying beams. Will not guarantee lifting but will guarantee to stabilize. Seal all vents inside space. Install 12 mil reinforced liner to walls and columns. Seal all seams wrap columns. Install Borafoam termite resistant board up all exterior walls to below sill. To stop air infiltration into space apply 2 inches of closed cell foam which provides R13 insulation value. Trim and install new poly hatch on existing opening. Includes Foam board and weather stripping.

Steady flow of water entering basement through electrical panel and top of basement door frame due to incorrect installation by previous contractor of deck attached to concrete slab above basement. No flashing or incorrect application of flashing is causing water issues and damage to home. Insulation above the electrical panel is soaked and needs to be replaced due to water intrusion. Remove decking boards as needed. Remove door and entire jamb/frame to properly waterproof area around frame and on deck. Divert water around door out onto deck and away from home. Reinstall decking. Door is racked and not closing properly. Install door properly, caulk/flash and trim as needed. Remove basement door as it is also racked and was installed incorrectly by previous contractor. Deadbolt does not function as it is out of alignment with the jamb. Reinstall door, jamb and frame. Caulk/trim as needed. Door frame may need to be replaced given the deadbolt does not align with the door. This will result in additional charges if needed.
