Summit Environmental Solutions were phenomenal with de-watering and encapsulating our new crawlspace that had 6+ inches of standing water in it. Within a day or two of completion, it was evident that the crawlspace was maintaining heat as temps dropped below freezing. Joe Westner and Jeremy were very professional and prompt with returning phone calls and completing the work. I highly recommend Summit. Not only are they price competitive, but they also offer a great warranty.

Project: Repair Damage from Dry-rot, Water or Pests
Comments: Initial fix was shoddy and unacceptable; when carpenter team came they did an excellent job! Communications could be a bit better but I understand they were short staffed in the office. Could not have a more pleasant group to work with though. I intend to use them for other work in the near future.

The following steps took place for repairs of home and crawlspace. Trapping of raccoons from the crawlspace, Once raccoons are removed, removal of lower band boards on the left and right side of the home, install of new composite band boards and attach to home, color is white. Inside crawlspace, clean out debris, raccoon droppings, vapor barrier from addition will be removed too due to smell. Sterifab treatment to be done to kill bacteria, mites, and lice. Summit to dig perimeter and install concrete and barrier wall using 1/2" screen on right and left side where new band boards were installed to prevent mice, raccoons, and squirrels from burrowing under. Summit to then dig entire perimeter of the original home and install fast drain system and connect to the additional crawlspace drain system. Summit to spray foam 2" on walls on additional crawlspace for proper insulation and rim joist. Dimple shield to be installed to the floors of both crawlspaces to protect the vapor barrier and prevent trapping of water. Installation of 16mil vapor barrier to be installed in both crawlspaces and attached to walls. In the basement family room there seems to be a moisture issue behind the paneling at the foot of the stairs. We have had the dishwasher in the above kitchen checked with no leakage nor the pipes under the kitchen sink. The area is just below the covered carport slab. Would nee the paneling removed & the area inspected for possible cracks & the replace the paneling on 2 walls with moisture proof "drywall". Please help. Thanks, Jack Brunson

I need an estimate on encapsulation of our crawl space, with potential dehumidifier and air dryer. Also any other waterproofing that might be needed. I also may need to have my drain tile pipes cleaned out or hydro pressured as there is mud residue where they dump into my sump pump. We are original owners of a 30 year home in Mt Vernon, Va. Our home is a 1959 split level house. We have a crawl space that is approx. 625 sq. ft that we'd like to get a quote for encapsulation system. Our request for a quote is preventative maintenance and not based on current water issues. Visual inspection of our crawl space does not indicate that there has ever been standing water. However, there is old insulation (falling down in places) and the old vapor barrier has deteriorated, and we know it needs to be cleaned up.

I have a crawl space with standing water. Need a drainage system.
Fred H. on November 7, 2018 7:27:18pm
We need to have the outside perimeter of our crawl space sealed, as it has openings that allow small animals to enter. It may be necessary to encapsulate the crawl space as well. Would appreciate an appointment for someone to look at the crawl space and give us an estimate. Thanks.

It looks like I have some water coming into our home into a below-grade office. I would like to see if you can spot the issue and provide an estimate.
David T. on August 6, 2018 10:20:25am
the back part of our house is partially below grade. I believe we are starting to see moisture seeping through the lower wall.
