Why did the customer contact us?
The existing drain cannot handle the volume of water when heavy rains occur. No curb to doorway so water can enter very quickly. Drain has already been checked and scoped.
Solutions provided:
To provide a level of protection against heavy rains SES proposes the following: Demo and abandon existing floor drain. Install a full SpeeD channel along the entire length of the walkout in front of the door, close to foundation walls. Break up concrete and reshape to promote water flow into the drain. Run drain through foundation wall into utility room into GrateSump with Pro Series PS3033 pump with integrated controller. Includes integrated high water alarm and monitoring system for pump operation.
Install GrateSump liner on left side, check valve and discharge out left rear of home along fence line into drain box next to ornamental bushes. At the top of the staircase, next to the foundation, add additional concrete to stop water entering under stairs.
