The customer needed a crawl space encapsulation.
Solutions provided:
Complaints about cold floors and general condition of space. Ground moisture issues only. Excessive debris needs to be removed. The following is recommended based upon the updated building code. Remove all debris and insulation. Leave existing liner in place as it is acting as a seal for the radon removal. Install Crawlshield 16 mil reinforced liner on all floors of space up 6 inches on walls. Wrap all columns. Insulate CMU walls with Borafoam termite resistant foam board up to 2 inches from sill plate. To stop airflow into space apply 2 inches of closed cell foam to entire rim joist, R13. Seal all crawlspace vents. To partially condition space install two inducers in supply trunk in both spaces. Seal and insulate hatch to crawlspace and install new barrel latch. For exposed cast iron tub apply 2 inches of foam to underside of tub surface. Remove old condenser from space and dispose of properly.
