Why did the customer contact us?
The customer needed crawl space repairs.
Solutions provided:
Install 12 mil liner over top of existing liner.
Apply 2 inches of closed cell foam around exterior rim joist to air seal and provide R13 insulation.
Install Borafoam termite resistant foam board on 3 exterior walls up to sill plate.
Seal all seams for liner and foam board, All columns to be wrapped and sealed.
Seal all vents.
Replace hatch door with custom poly hatch, weather stripping, foam board plus hinges and latch.
Column installation
Two areas where existing carrying beam is sagging.
Excavate and install two platform footers in mid span between 2nd and 3rd columns.
Install adjustable lally columns on concrete footers. Columns will be secured to concrete.
Dehumidification
Install SantaFe compact 70 dehumidifier with condensate pump and duct kit. Propose ducting from main crawl space to inaccessible rear space.
