I contacted Summit Environmental Solutions on behalf of my 95-year-old mother. I discovered that her sump pump was not working in her crawlspace. When Joe showed up from Summit, he was unable to go down there because it was full of water. After days of pumping out the water, he later went down and discovered a lot of debris, potential problems with the foundation, and a very unlevel crawlspace. It was determined that the crawlspace would have to be encapsulated to include installing a moisture barrier, a new sump pump and a dehumidifier. His company workers filled an entire truck with debris from the crawlspace and tons of dirt was brought in from the front driveway to the side of the house through a small gate and to the back. A new entry space was enlarged with an angled door to keep water from pouring down there and another door leading into the crawlspace. Joe was phenomenal to work with. He always answered my calls and questions and helped in any way he could to make the old house safe for my mother again. The Summit employees worked extremely hard to make the crawlspace safe once again. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

Summit has really been our partners when we were in need of help with pest control. They were dependable and effective. We also had our roof done with them and have enjoyed having a free inspection from time to time. This gives us real peace of mind. Would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends and neighbors!

It was a pleasure dealing with Summit Environmental Solutions to solve our leaky basement issue. Joe gave us a fair estimate and was very helpful in all aspects of the job. The crew showed up on time and were very pleasant, polite, and professional. There was one minor issue on the placement of the drain in the yard, but it was resolved amicably. I would definitely recommend this company.

Summit Environmental Solutions were phenomenal with de-watering and encapsulating our new crawlspace that had 6+ inches of standing water in it. Within a day or two of completion, it was evident that the crawlspace was maintaining heat as temps dropped below freezing. Joe Westner and Jeremy were very professional and prompt with returning phone calls and completing the work. I highly recommend Summit. Not only are they price competitive, but they also offer a great warranty.

Project: Repair Damage from Dry-rot, Water or Pests
Comments: Initial fix was shoddy and unacceptable; when carpenter team came they did an excellent job! Communications could be a bit better but I understand they were short staffed in the office. Could not have a more pleasant group to work with though. I intend to use them for other work in the near future.

Pest Control: when I called Summit in a panic from the small snake that was in our home, Jessica helped me to calm down and reviewed all my options and pricing. We decided we wanted to move forward with a survey of our newly purchased home and go from there. She called for a consultant to come by that same day within a few hours. Although I was still quite frantic, Will, walked me through our entire home top to bottom and inside and out to share where the snake was coming from and how we could resolve the issues, both immediately and long term. Regardless of wanting to spend any money during the holidays, we wanted to protect our family and our investment - Will was extremely cordial and went out of his way to make sure we understood all that was being done to protect our home. I am grateful for the experience and will recommend to anyone who will listen! Thank you Jessica and Will!!!

This company was great. They responded quickly to my request for a quote on HomeAdvisor. They came out the very next day and cleaned out a bird's nest from our attic and made repairs for the damage done by the birds. They were also able to put bird guards on two other vents while they were there. The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Very easy to work with and reliable. I recommend this firm.

-At point where HVAC system was installed, to area in front of entry point, along wall to existing sump; install GrateDrain system with FlexiFlange. Cover floor with high strength concrete. Existing sump pit is wide open and contributing to moisture in the basement.Demo existing open pit. Install new FastSump with liner, sealed lid and connect to discharge line. This will stop vapor diffusion from sump pit. Install high water alarm.

Ground floor of CMU/Brick room has water entering at cove joint. New downspouts are draining right at foundation. Extend left front downspout 25 LF from left side of home into drain box. Excavate down to foundation at bottom of porch near stairs to corner, rear corner down to foundation. Apply waterproofing coating to both walls to top of footer and up to top at mean soil line. Install standard french drain system around 2 sides, pick up both downspouts and direct to right rear near swing set into drain box in soil. Extend right rear downspout under flagstone walk to edge of garden. Customer will have both A/C units moved to facilitate work. They will move them back after work is completed.

Water exiting the soil at top of back yard and also toward bottom creating constant wet conditions. Property has existing standard French drain but it is not managing the water in the back yard properly. Construct open French drain below crest at top of hill from left fence line to 35 LF to the right. Construct second open French drain at bottom of hill, left from from left fence line to 35 LF to the right. Tie in top to bottom with lateral line down hill. Leave French drain open with washed stone, wrap drain pipe in landscape fabric, Extend discharge line on left side down to within 1-2 feet from curb into drain box in soil. Customer understands that heavy rainfall may cause water to accumulate for short periods in and around drain system but it will provide a pathway to dry out the yard quickly. Cover areas excavated and covered with soil with straw and grass seed.

Address water concerns with driveway that slopes toward home. Cut concrete approximately 2 LF from garage door and install drain grate. Excavate and install driveway drain grate across entire width of driveway. Excavate and install deep sump with trash pump. Run discharge line to 3 inch line along right side of driveway in soil. Terminate in drain box in soil and install low baffle to promote water moving toward apron. Customer may reapply mulch when work is completed. Electrical receptacle to be installed by licensed electrician. The trash pump can deal with solids but the customer will be responsible for maintenance of the drain grate to keep leaves and other debris out plus inspection and clean out of the sump crock as needed.

Rear of root cellar/basement has stacked stone foundation walls, mortar filled joints. Water/dampness noted in multiple locations. Customer will be replacing slab. This proposal will cover installation of the GrateDrain system, around perimeter of rear cellar, with expectation that the bench walls on the right side will be removed. The system will pass through the entry way on the center right to the proposed final sump location noted below. SES will coordinate with the concrete contractor for scheduling and work flow to completion. The system must be installed prior to any rebar installation. Install Heavy Duty Finish Shield on those walls, integrate with GrateDrain system in floor. Extend system to right side wall at benched wall section; water is entering between the bench and the pass through to the central section of the basement. Run system along front side of wall to existing sump pit. Install new liner with FastSump, check valve and high water alarm. Run discharge through stem wall to left exterior wall and outside into left side garden into drain box in soil with stone and perforate box, approximately 7 LF from home. Customer will have electrical outlet installed for dehumidifier and sump pump. Quote is updated to reflect reduction in scope of work. To ensure a dry basement in the event of a power outage it is strongly recommended to install a Heavy duty inverter with deep cycle battery. Install SantaFe compact dehumidifier in basement at front stem wall, adjacent to sump liner. Install duct kit to move air to rear basement and keep entire basement dry.
